Purchasing/Procurement Manager
Claymark Group (under new ownership as of 1 October 2020) is New Zealand’s largest manufacturer and exporter of premium pine products. Operating across five sawmilling and remanufacturing sites in the Bay of Plenty region, the Claymark Brand is recognised at the highest levels on the domestic and global markets for it quality and precision focus.
With new ownership comes a desire to continue to grow and develop the Claymark brand and reputation with this to be supported through an enhancement of quality purchasing and procurement processes.
We are therefore seeking applications from suitability qualified individuals for the new role of Purchasing/Procurement Manager. This role will initially be for a fixed term period of six (6) months with the strong prospect of this being a permanent role after this time.
The successful applicant for this role will need to demonstrate an ability to strategically manage the company’s supply of products and services and discover the best ways to cut procurement expenses to assist in enabling the company to invest in growth and its people.
This will require the appointee to have broad knowledge and experience across of range of Procurement disciplines including: reviewing Claymarks purchasing/procurement processes and systems, analysing spend and areas of cost saving and reviewing supply agreements.
Based within the Company’s Rotorua Head Office the appointee will need to be flexible to work across any of the company’s sawmilling and remanufacturing sites (3 x Rotorua, Thames and Katikati). Experience within a production / manufacturing environment would be essential to enable the appointee to quickly integrate within all aspects of the business.
The successful applicant will have experience within a similar role with good knowledge of modern business systems, including end to end business processes and a current entitlement to work in New Zealand. As an extremely important function within the Claymark Group structure this will be a very rewarding and well remunerated role.
